Technoayurveda School to reach new horizons
Dr. Biswajit Dash, born in Rourkela, Odisha into an orthodox odia brahmin family of
teachers. Currently, serving as Reader and Head of the department in Panchakarma at
Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Balangir, Odisha. He has completed his
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery in 2006 from Sambalpur University, Odisha
and Masters degree – Doctor of Medicine in Panchakarma in 2011 from Rajiv Gandhi
University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore. His post graduation dissertation was on
the topic, “Effect of Panchatikta Prasrutika Basti in Madhumeha W. S. R. to Hypoglycaemic
Activities“. In April 2022 he was awarded Ph.D degree from Sambalpur University, Odisha
for his topic, “A Comparative Clinical study on effect of Matra Basti of Shuddhabala taila
and Ketakyadi taila in Janusandhigatavata W. S. R. to Knee Osteoarthritis“. His areas of
interest include Preventive, Curative and Promotive Panchakarma Therapy with Community
Awareness. Ayurvedic Geriatric Care, Sports Medicine, Leech Therapy, Yoga and Value
Education. He had professional experience more than 14 years in Clinical practice with over
9 years of teaching experience. For the year 2014, he got selected for Odisha Ayurveda
Medical Education Service through Public Service Commission and joined Government
Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Balangir.
Dr. Biswajit has published many scientific papers in different journals. He has
attended more than 40 State, National and International seminars, conferences and webinar as
a participant as well as an expert. He has presented 15 papers to his credit. He holds a
Distinction in Certificate of Geriatric Care from Odisha State Open University, Sambalpur.
He has attended various workshops, conferences and Continuing Medical
Education (CME) on Ayurveda, Panchakarma and Geriatrics. He is also attached to Old
Rourkela Education Society (to fight against Old Age) as Master Trainer and Counselling
Supervisor Since 2013. He is a recognized examiner to various Universities. He is a National
Executive Member of Ayurveda Teachers Association of India, Pune, Member of NASYA,
New Delhi and Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad, Lucknow. He is also a member of International
Biotherapy Society, Israel and supporting member of AAPNA, USA. He has delivered guest
lectures in various institutions on different topics and took Awareness classes (Child
Education) and counselling for adolescents at various Anganwadis, Schools and Colleges. He
has coordinated voluntary blood donation camps and 7 free Medical Camps in GAC,
Balangir. His expertise is in the treatment of Neurological disorders through Classical
Ayurveda therapies. In year 2018, he was felicitated by Prof. Ganeshi Lal, the Honourable
Governor of Odisha, for his valuable contribution in Panchakarma Practise. On the eve of
Teachers Day Celebrations, he was awarded by Lok Sevak Mandal & Samaja, Cuttack with
‘Guru Gourav Samman – 2021’ from the Odisha Assembly Speaker Dr. Surya Narayan Patra.
He has own many excellence prizes during School and College study for Dance, Music and
cultural activities for which he was awarded with State Youth Award by Govt. of Odisha for
year 2007-08.
